How Safe is Cryotherapy Treatment?

Very Safe! The Cryosauna that has been used for over 30 years. Over this 30 year span there has never been a negative severe reaction that has been recorded. The nitrogen that is used to bring the user’s body to such low temperatures is not dangerous. Some people may not know but nitrogen makes up about 78% of the air we breathe every day. In the Cryosaunas that we use, your head will be above the machine. You will be not be breathing the air within the Cryosauna; you will be able to breathe the air in the room. When you enter the Cryosauna, one of our certified Cryotechnicians will be able to raise a platform that you stand on so that your head will be above the heavier nitrogen vapors. Although none of our patients have ever had an issue with blood oxygen saturation percentages, all of our Cryosaunas have an oxygen monitor. These oxygen monitors are located at the same level as your mouth. The oxygen monitor will shut off the supply of nitrogen if the concentration of oxygen drops below safe levels.

Our clients’ health and safety is our number one priority.

We always make sure that our clients are able to protect tissues that are more temperature sensitive. Your feet and hands are much more sensitive to cold temperatures. We will always be able to provide our clients dry socks, slippers, and gloves. One of our certified Cryotechnicians will always be standing by the Crosauna machine the entire time you are in the machine. It is important to us that you are comfortable throughout the process and feel safe. The door on our saunas will never be locked. You can exit the Cryosauna anytime if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe in any way.
